about

Sometimes a release does not go as planned. Not as planned at all!
This is a perfect example of this. 4 amazing bands, 3 labels and a lot of things not going according to plans.
This was started early in the summer of 2012, but a bunch of stuff regarding pressing, artwork and stuff like that has pushed this backwards and backwards.

But finally; the Consonance 4 Way Split almost done! Here are the songs available for your streaming pleasure, the physical copies are at the pressing plant right now. They will be available soon!

This split contains 4 fantastic bands from different parts of Asia!

Blue Friend from Japan plays an amazing combination of twinkly emo, emo violence and straight up Japanese chaos not unlike Killie. Lovely melodies combined with a furious sense of passion and love for what they are doing makes this a band that's nothing short of amazing. Recommended for fans of everything from American Football to Killie to Beau Navire to Suis La Lune

Pathos from Singapore has been one of my favorite bands since I first heard the self titled EP. They play a La Quiete/ Raein - meets - Jeromes Dream-ish form of screamo. The vocals are hectic and punishing while the melodies remind me of the Italian/ German screamo/ emoviolence-scene of the late '90s/ early 2000's. For fans of bands such as Danse Macabre, Tristan Tzara and Cease Upon the Capitol.

Sjanse also hails from Singapore and plays a more drawn-out post-rockish form of screamo, with huge mid90s emo-elements. Think a mixture between Envy and Orchid. Throw in a bunch of the great French wave of epic screamo such as Daitro, Mihai Edrish, amanda woodward and Sed Non Satiata, you might get a feel of what Sjanse is all about. Amazing stuff!
Recommended if you like Envy, Daitro, Suis La Lune and other epic screamo/ emo bands

Virginia on Duty is a band from Malaysia and play a more straigt-in-your-face emo-violence not unlike Tristan Tzara, Louise Cyphre and The Apoplexy Twist Orchestra. Taking cues from the chaotic side of emoviolence, Virginia on Duty is one of those bands that you feel like throwing something in the wall while you listen to them. And you do, and it feels so good... Love it! Fans of Republic of Dreams, Orchid and Cotidie Mori, take note!

This is a split release between Farblos Records (Germany), Middle Man Records (USA) and Listen to Aylin Records (Norway). limited to 250 tapes divided between the bands and labels
